Em Magazine (2019-2022)

Editorial Director: Oversees writing and editing process for all written content, supervises team of writers and Assistant Director through drafting process.

Editorial Assistant: Assists Editorial Director with development, management, and editing of all copy.

Copy Editor: Edits long-form articles for print and digital publication (previously served as a staff writer).

Staff Writer: Produces creative and research writing pieces for the bi-annually published magazine.

Emerson Today (2021-2022)

Staff Writer: Covers college events and faculty news for Emerson’s School of Communications’s official news website.

Boston Uncommon Weekly Newsletter (2020-2021)

Original reporting, writing, and editing

-Published via Substack, Boston Uncommon covers New England-based drag, burlesque, cabaret, sex work, and queer nightlife.

The Independent (2022)

News Editor: Manages all News copy and content for independent film magazine

Discover WERS Blog (2019-2021)

Staff Writer and Designer

-Wrote music-related content for Discover WERS 88.9, the online blog for America’s number one college radio station.

-Designed accompanying graphics for written content using Adobe Photoshop.

Giggles and Stardust (2020-2021)

Research Intern: Gathered relevant data, contacts, resources, and trends in early childhood educational entertainment, and parental blogs, and social media influencers

Creative Intern: Consulted on logo and website design, film making and storytelling, content storyboarding, and set design 

 
 

The Standard Newspaper (2015-2019)

 
 

Staff Writer: Contributed two articles for monthly issues

Social Media Coordinator: Managed publication Instagram, Twitter, and Snapchat accounts

Copy Editor: Edited all written copy according to AP style and oversaw consistency of copy across the paper

Managing Editor: Oversaw the publication deadlines and production cycle as well as the paper’s staff.

Senior Managing Editor: Oversaw junior staff members and trained Junior Managing Editor

 
 

The Canyon Yearbook (2016-2019)

Production Editor: Oversaw the production cycle and monthly deadlines for 300 page yearbook.

Design Editor: Oversaw color and font choices, theme incorporation, and overall design and layout of the book, working alongside the Editor in Chief to create a cohesive book. Utilized Adobe Photoshop and InDesign.

Editor in Chief: Managed the staff and makes final decisions regarding the production process and final book including deadlines, design choices, and staff management. 

 
 

Beautiful Bizarre Magazine (2017-2019)    

Creator and Editor in Chief

-Beautiful Bizarre Magazine features the writing, art, poetry, photography, film, and music of local teenage artists. A new issue is released on the first of every month with an average of 15 pieces submitted by a total of 47 different freelancing artists. The magazine has a staff of 14 who submit work every issue. 

-Gathered all content, designs the site each month, and picks the theme for each issue.

-Entire website design and upkeep by Editor in Chief.

Boston in 100 words (2020): Design and illustration Light My Fire accompanying winning essay, circulated within Boston MBTA stations on 900 posters and digital billboards.

VOLUP2 Magazine (2020): Wrote monthly editorials about queer topics.

Polaris Literary Magazine (2020) - Ohio Northern University: Photography series “The Divine and the Disgusting” featured in 2020 issue of literary magazine.

Bleached Tie Dye Look Book (2020): Created digital and printed look book for clothing brand.

The Emetophobia Manual (2020): Design and layout for 36-chapter self help book.

The Rambler Literary Magazine (2018-2019): Design, layout, and photography featured in 2019 issue of literary magazine.

Los Angeles Times High School Insider (2016-2019): Produced monthly articles for the LA Times High School blog. Topics mostly centered around LGBTQ culture, artist profiles, and issues relating to teens.

-The nation’s largest student-run, multi-camera, live award show in the nation, judged by industry professionals.

Scholastic Arts and Writing Silver Key Award for A Journalism Portfolio Writing (2019)

-Silver Keys are awarded to stand-out works submitted to local programs that demonstrate exceptional ability in writing. 

-Awarded for Journalism portfolio with focus on Featuring local artists and creatives.

Columbia Scholastic Press Association Crown Award for The Standard Newspaper (2016 and 2017)

-Crown Awards are the highest recognition given by the CSPA to a student print or digital medium for overall excellence.

-Awarded while Copy Editor and Managing Editor of The Standard.

 

Columbia Scholastic Press Association Gold Circle Award for The Canyon Yearbook (2017)

-Gold Circle Awards are offered to recognize superior work by student journalists working with either print or online media.

-Awarded while Production Editor of The Canyon.

 

Columbia Scholastic Press Association Yearbook (Visual) Award (2017)

-Awarded to students who show excellence in yearbook design.
